Colory

I recently started dabbling in digital colors, and here are some of my first finished pieces.  Drawn and inked traditionally, cleaned up and colored in Manga Studio.  Still lots to learn (like not to go crazy in details that won't actually be visible in print!) but it's fun!

I liked P.G.'s new 52 costume!  Few others did it seems.

This is MY Green Lantern!  Hal who?

So just saw Wasp is back?  I thought she blew up.  In the bad way.

C2E2 2013

C2E2 was awesome!  Had some great neighbors, my tablemate Josep Blas was super cool talented guy and watched my stuff when I eventually had a break in sketching.  And the Sun Bros. http://sunbrosstudios.com/ who's independent marketing was inspiring!  Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table, and special thanks to those who commissioned me for sketches!  I forgot my camera til Sunday, so only got a few pics of the sketches I did, enjoy them below.

I had the honor of drawing the first sketch in a young lady's first sketchbook, the look on her face seeing my rendition of  Ironman was worth the price of admission! (she liked it)

The 11th Dr. Who (apparently, I've just seen the Eccleston season), one of 2 Doctors I did.

Quite pleased with this Thor sketch cover (as was the young lad I drew it for).  Think I'll do some more sketch covers in the future...

24 Hour Comic 2011-Part One

Here is the first half of the comic I did for 24 Hour Comic Day a couple a' years back.  Conceived, written and drawn from 10am Sat. to 10am Sun. in the forbidden, off limits-to-the-commoners upstairs of Graham Crackers Comics, Plainfield.  I did have dialogue, saving it for last, but in my sleep deprived delirium I thought, "This doesn't need dialogue, It's brilliant on it's own!!".  Well, I was wrong and so this is a technical failure of the 24 hour comic rules.  Maybe I'll letter it up some day...
For more info on the 24 hour comic challenge, check the linkage-http://www.24hourcomicsday.com/

I made 2 pages on a single 11'' x 14'' sheet of bristol, penciled very fast and loose and inked with PITT pens and a brush pen.   I worked smaller to speed up the process.
